prismatic scope range finding

Hello folks,
I am considering the purchase of a prismatic scope from Immersive Optics.
Does anyone have either experience with them or an optical background that could help me figure which between the 10x24, 10x40 or the 14x50 would be best at range finding.

I have looked here and on other forums and can't find a clear answer. It seems that a shallow depth of field would be best for ranging but all the on-line references are for camera lenses and talk about aperature/F-stops for depth of field, but I am unsure how it translates to the different non variable objective sizes, I would appreciate your assistance with this. While the prismatic scopes may not be your thing, I am interested. I have been using a pair of the Leupold 1x14 prismatic optics on PCC's for years and prefer them to red dots because there is no astigmatism blurring.

I'm guessing the 14x50 would have the most shallow depth of field due to the larger objective lens. I believe the greater magnification would contribute as well.

My only experience with Immersive was a short run with a 5x30 & even it had a shallow depth of field.

I assume you mean using the side focus & a wheel to gauge range?

yes sir, that is the plan, though I may be wrong as to which would be better for ranging, shallow vs deep depth of field. If you or anyone else can clarify this for me too, I would appreciate it.

This is correct. I had the 5x30 and the MTC SWAT 12x50. 12x50 had paper-thin depth of field. Seems like the 14x50 might even be a little tighter. 5x30 was quite a bit more forgiving.
