Price to fill an air tank.

I was having to drive over an hour to fill a tank. They would slam it to 4500 psi and by the time it cooled down I was below 4000 psi. That got old real quick. I purchased an Omega personal charger five years ago. Paid $900. Best purchase ever. Air freedom is awesome. Now I would say the Yong Hen seems to be the 800 pound gorilla of the compressor world. I highly recommend a compressor whichever model!

The paintball shop I use to use banged me for $23 for each great white bottle. The sucky part was they only got it up to 4000 psi. that's where their compressor was set at. They are no longer used.

Just curious to see how much it costs to follow a tank. I will be needing to purchase a compressor sometime . There isn't much access to HPA in the area and was wanting to know what the price is to fill a tank. Just trying to justify an Alkin.

I-70 paintball in Huber Heights would fill my 74 cu ft tank to 4500 for 10$.

That was 2 years ago though, so maybe 15$ now.

$7 at a dive shop. Any size tank and any volume. I had a compressor, but when the o-rings started to fail, I found a fill was cheaper than the repair kit, so no more compressor. Of course, for me the shop is only a few minutes away.

Your about 45 minutes from me. I'd fill the tanks for just shooting as the tanks filled.

One of my local diving store charges flat rate $7 per fill, no matter tank/bottle size or if empty. But their Bauer unit maximum is 4200psi.

Yep. Have 115 yards to shoot. Lots of reactive targets to keep it interesting.
People LOVE the ricochet target at 50 yards! You get that nice Hollywood sound as the round kicks off into the woods!

New England Airgun charges based on initial pressure and tank size category:

SCBA size tanks

• with pressure < 1500psi $20 ~ 50 min to fill
• Top-offs > 1500 psi $12 ~ 30 min to fill

Tanks 90 cubic inch or under:

• with pressure under 1500 psi $12 ~ 30 min to fill
• Top-offs over 1500 psi $8 ~ 10-15 min to fill

Yeah, John and the others are great. I just took an annual membership for their indoor range. Can't use air guns at my gun club on the indoor range and NEAG won't allow lead.. No huge deal, my guns are OK with tin pellets and I have 50 feet for winter shooting.

2 shops, 1 goes to 4500 in < 5 minutes for $5, the tank then settles back around 4100. The other takes over an hour to stick it at 4500 for $12. Most of my shooting is low power so either way a tank lasts me a long time.

if I go from 3500 to 4500 it is $10 as well.

I guess but I usually tether mine when I get close to max fill if the gun and shoot my tank well down below 3k. Getting my moneys worth. Lol
