I don't think I'll have time to edit all the footage I have before heading over the road again. I don't mean for this to tease you all, but I wanted to post something before the night is over because chances are I won't have time to do anything tomorrow.

I went at the pest birds hard this week/weekend....lots of smacking with 30cal pellets and 22 caliber slugs. It'll be more of a compilation than anything else, but it is sure to please!

I think Bob we need to come up with an appropriate sound for the 30 cal. impact like 'kerpow' or 'kaboom'. Those 30's just hit so hard. Been thinking myself about switching over my FX Impact MKII .22 cal over to a 30 cal. for groundhog shooting with body shots. I have other .22 cal. rifles to take over for smaller pests. The problem is even though I got that rifle last May it does not have the power plenum which means an upgraded plenum is needed. Thinking of having SPAW do the upgrade and new barrel kit but that is a big chuck of change. Bill

I think the MKII will have enough power for 30 cal. Its different than 22 somehow. Like I need 165bar to get 34gr slugs to 960fps in 22, but the 44gr pellets in 30 caliber i only needed 120bar for 930fps.

I tuned both down to 940 and 915fps respectively.

I wish I had time to edit a video......the 30cal on birds is devastating. I looked for woodchucks all day yesterday but never saw one.

If you'd like to try 30 cal, let me know. I'll send you the caliber change kit to use for a while, like a month or longer.....pellets included unless you have your own.
