Hi, got the Presslug 2025, having iuuses with the crown, no problems for a while then unable to unscrew the crowns top screw, its stuck solid and i mean solid, anyone else have this issue...... Al

Any way found a solution to the problem, simple case of cost, Die = £300 / Crown = £70.
Took the grinder to the crown, and found a film of lead between the two die pieces, which im assuming put preassure on the crown screw.

I'm very disappointed with my Preslug experience. Their die selection sucks. They advertised having several different sizes through their dealers but only one in each cal. were actually available. Their quality seems quite good though. Mine works quite well but the die selection for me is of very limited use for my guns. Really disappointed, I even exchanged emails with one of the owners and he assured me the selection would soon be better.

Yeah, they promised upgraded dies about a year ago. I'll believe when I see it. Press looks terrific though. Does the press have any play in the linkage or ram.

That's an engineering oversight I can conclude. The basic principles of die making were not followed, Usually the dies are made in one piece, from a single piece of tool steel. The way you have pry opened the die crown shows it.

Yes posibly an oversight, or as a mate of mine just pointed out, mayby down to me not screwing on the crown screw tight enough in the first place.... ? and leaving a little play for the lead to get through,,, have ordered another hope its a one off or things will get expensive
