Predom .177 target pistol

This is my Predom Lucznik WZ 1976 air pistol. It was manufactured by Zaklady Metalowe Predom-Lucznik in Radom, Poland from at least 1972 to about 1980 it is a copy of the Walther LP53. The parts are interchangeable but the LP53 is a much more refined gun.

I have resealed it and shot it for the first time today. Crony at 422fps average. Now it time to shoot some paper and see what it will do. I expect it to level off at around 400fps. My first six shots free hand at 25 feet.

No I don’t have a crono But I can tell it’s got decent velocity. It seems to be very close to 400. I can get a good idea by how long it takes the pellet to hit the target. At 20 yards with a rest I can hit a soup can most of the time. The only thing about mine and yours might be different is it has a weird feeling trigger But it’s not that heavy of a pull.

Yeah that sounds like how my trigger is.It didn’t take too long to get used to it though. I was wondering Does your Rear sight windage screw move very easily? If it does there’s an easy fix. I think a fly could’ve landed on mine and would’ve moved it.

I was thinking about sighting it then putting a drop of blue loctite on it. It moves super easy.

If you look straight down from the top of the rear sight you will see two little tabs that wrap around the sight blade. What I did was turned the knob so the site went all the way to the left and then took some needle nose pliers and bent that little tab down. Then I cranked it all the way over to the right and bend that other tab down. That puts pressure on the site blade and won’t let it slide so easily. Mine was moving just from the vibration of shooting it. But that worked for me. Even though it’s snugged down now ,That screw will still have a little bit of a slop back-and-forth. But that’s just the way it is. But the site itself does not move now.

This is my Predom Lucznik WZ 1976 air pistol.

This is mine, my very first air pistol, bought new 40+ years ago for what amounts to $42, thought it was the real deal (Walther LP53) but was not disappointed, shoots really well, thinned and hardened the trigger guard a bit to make it look more like the Walther, fixed the trigger for a lot lighter pull, needs a piston seal upgrade, shoots kind of slow

Pic and compare with the real deal
