Pre-filling bottles

I just bought an extra cylinder/bottle for my FX dreamline, is there an adapter that will allow me to fill it off the gun from my compressor?
Guessing it would need a pressure gauge even though the compressor has one.

Always uncocked! Not because of the bottle though, it does not care but because it's unsafe to be inline with the business and when cocked.

Should the stem and threads of the regulator be lubricated.

Yes lubricate the threads on the reg or you won't get the bottle on or off if you remove and replace it a few times I use the nickel antisieze on mine there are other products to it is just what I have and it works

I could be wrong on this but I thought the fill adapter didn’t work on the “new” bottles.
