Prairie dog hunting video with RTI Prophet Plus .22 in Kansas and Colorado 2021

Video editing is time consuming; very….. time….. consuming. The video highlights our trip from last year. It’s only a small portion of video taken and certainly an even smaller portion of dogs we took. 70% of the time I had to make a decision to make a kill or spend time setting up the shot both video and gun wise.
We were in the fields for nine days for an average eight hours in two states shooting well over seven hundred dogs. I averaged almost a tin of JSB MRD .22 a day.
I’m hoping we can go back out again this year but life and other pressing matters appear to slowly diminish that opportunity.

Yeah, we are pretty hard core when it comes to our hunts. It's the only time of the year we get to spend some serious time shooting. Also, the distance we have to drive ( 8 to 12 hours one way) we want to make it a worthwhile trip. In both states the land we shoot on is private property. Over the years, we've been able to gain them by knowing a friend of a friend of a friend type of scenario. I've tried over the last several years to locate some public land and turned up zilch or at least nothing worth pursuing. I also went to the state and local municipalities but the Freedom of Information Act prevents me from reaching out to land owners. I have to leave my contact information so they can reach out to me. So that means a land owner would have to come to the Wildlife/Conservation Departments with their request for help. We've spoken to some "drive by" land owners but they typically tell us they poison them.

Wyoming in the past was the most receptive to my request but that's a little to far for us to drive based on a hunch.
