pp700sa Strikes Again

Went back to the dairy tonight to get some action, and also to try and collect more bodies as I felt sheepish posting only one rat pic during my previous outing. On this farm it is very difficult to police up some of the rats kills because of were they are. Anyway I have attached a few images of one of the buildings I shoot into so you get the idea. Tonight I shot at least 30 rats. These nine only represent but a drop in the bucket. It was a good night, the little Artemis is deadly in the side building I have at least 30 bodies pile up that I can't, won't go after I attempted to step into the building tonight and my boots wanted to sink past my ankles. Anyway I am simply loving this little rig, very light, and very deadly within its range.

@nervoustrig, I’m embarrassed to say my set up was...

1. Unpack pistol, inspect pistol, mounted folding stock and scope. Sight in at ten yards, took 30 shots from a 3200 psi fill did not notice a shift in the POI. Then lots of plinking at pine cones, wine corks, sidewalk chalk at the ranges I’m ratting at. Then off to the dairy. I will chrono it this weekend, I already have nearly a tin of pellets through it. This little rig is a lot of fun, easy to maneuver and I can take many shots I couldn’t with my rifle. As long as my pellets hit the roof at oblique angles no hole damage. I only shot 4 starlings last night. Rats were my priority.

In the side building photo you can see it’s basically a shoot house. I’m looking in through those ports and the rats are obliging by presenting shots from 10 to 15 yards. Lots of satisfying kills, but I have to let them lay as I’m not walking in there.

Luis, I hear ya. For close quarters like that, a quick sight in and practice session makes perfect sense.

James, I don’t know if you’ve followed some of the other recent threads on the PP700S-A but if not, please note the regulator design is a finicky one. Quite a few folks have had leaks and creeping issues. The two halves of the regulator form a crush seal against a nylon disc. It is extraordinarily difficult to develop enough torque to make it seal properly (I even made a tool to help) so if it works out of the box, it’s advisable to not disassemble it. Mine did not regulate properly so I had to go in and it took me about 4 attempts to get it sorted out. Now that I understand it, I don’t think it would be difficult to do again but suffice it to say it’s a bit of a gamble as to whether you’ll get one with a properly functioning regulator. Some folks ended up bypassing it and installing an in-tube Huma regulator but I’m too stubborn.

Congrats on the successful rat shoot!

These are tricky to get the creep out. Good on Jason for fixing his and detailing what he did to fix it. Thanks for that Jason!

Great that this one you've got ratting seems to be good out of the box.

Bob, I expected it to be good “out the box” at the ranges I’m shooting it at. I read through a lot of posts and videos. Nervoustrig, has posted a lot of great information on his journey with the pp700sa. My regulator probably creeps too, but a non issue for my use.

Just received mine today from Krale. Haven’t had a chance to play with it yet but it seems to be a really cool set up. I must say that I really can’t believe the shipping speed. I placed my order 2 days ago and it’s here in Arizona already. 2 days from the Netherlands to AZ. Unbelievable! And they only charge 28$. I bought their ldc adapter as it was only 13$. Got the pistol, ldc adapter, folding stock and a Huma gauge for my wildcat, all shipped for a total of 315. Just can’t beat it!
