PP700S-A comes together

It's been a long time coming, but my PP700 is finally ready for prime time. I got it back in July and wasn't happy with the performance so I sent it off to David for a tune. One thing led to another and it ended up getting the Huma Regulator and a guided breech block to go along with the tuning. Add in a Vortex Venom reddot, David's LDC and a Pelican case and I'm finally ready to start playing with it again. Supposedly hitting 800+fps w/ a 8.64 JSB. Not too shabby for a little pistol.

It's exciting to have a new toy that's finally ready to go.

Here it is in the Pelican case, even has room for pellets.

Did David remove the existing regulator or just add the Huma ,and leave the othere regulator in it? I have one in .22 and it is very accurate but only gets around 30 shots per fill. I think these pistols could be extremely accurate with the right regulator. I have about 1000 rounds through mine and love shooting it. I also had a red dot (Burris Fastfire 3) on mine, but recently put a Burris 3-12 pistol scope on it to reach out a little farther. I put a DonnyFL LDC on mine to silence it. The case looks great and will consider getting one in the future. Enjoy it.

Just had my PP700S-A out with a friend. After working on the guided breech block this morning I determined it was too thin and this was what caused it to be so loud. Air was escaping the breech when it was fired. I went back to stock until my new ones are made - soon I hope.

So we got it out and setup targets at 10 and 20 yards. Sighted in the reddot on the bench and proceeded to have a little informal freehand competition. We had so much fun it was ridiculous. Shot the better part of half a tin of pellets. He was shooting a breakbarrel pistol and wasn't much slower than I, though the PP700 clearly had a LOT more punch. It's supposedly tuned to 800fps, though I've not had it over the chrony yet.

Only thing slowing us down was putting out a new target from time to time. What a blast.

This thing is very accurate at 10yds where we did the bulk of the playing. Like dead center bullseye accurate. Kept surprising me. Like, is that one in the bull, we'd walk up and look and sure enough...dead center.I still have to figure out the slow leak, but pressure it up and shoot and it's very consistant.

Now...it's no $150 gun anymore ($200 in optics, $80 LDC, $150 in huma/tune, etc...), but still, loads of fun.

I do wish it was a repeater, maybe next year they'll have one. I wouldn't hesitate to buy another Artemis pistol that's for sure.
