Great guns all around guys...keep it going as I am watching every post

. Just curios what kind of mods are done to get the carbine/rifles to 60fpe. I am familiar with Charlie's tune for the bullpups but haven't heard of it being done on the rifles.

I ported/polished the firing-valve, installed a lighter tension valve-return spring and installed a small shim for the factory hammer spring. With the carbines (Cricket rifle) it’s more straight forward to utilize the factory hammer spring adjuster.

Very nice James. Thank you for keeping us updated. That carbine is going to do you right.

Hello Derrick,

Yes sir I'm liking the hell out of this rifle!

Haven't even had it out of the stock yet to play with the power but I'm going to soon.

Very impressed with the first short outing with the slugs and thinking the coyotes in my neck of the woods are in trouble for sure!

Haven't chronographed it yet but it was set at 905 with the JSB heavies so I'm guessing the 36 grainers are doing in the 880 range!

Man they hit hard!!!!!!

Did a little more testing tonight!

39 grainers at 50yds. One weird flyer but might have been me. Full 12 round mag...

Also got a new bipod ! Atlas clone and after adding a grade 8 washer under the cant button and an oring behind the tension wheel its badass!!!! This group won't win any competitions but will certainly knock a coyote on its ass!!!! I'm ordering more slugs and might even try a little heavier ones this time. Going to order some rat sniper wicked hollow points too....

Chuck,

Finally able to run a few pellets thru my new power tuned.25 Cricket. Haven't been able to get any decent groups with the Nielsen 36 gr slugs. Finally got the JSB 34 gr MK ll pellets in a decent group at 40 yards after I figured out she likes a very firm hold. About 920 fps. Seems to be getting better the more rounds I put thru it. So far that's around 300. May try the slugs again after a few hundred more rounds. Also cleaning the barrel seemed to help. The JSB .25 gr King Heavy's grouped the best but my go to is going to be the .34 gr. for Wiley coyote.

I believe Nielson recommends (and uses in his own) the 39 grain in 25 crickets

Both the 36 and 39 grain do fairly well in my gun and good enough for medium sized game up to coyotes but the 33 grain hollow base varmint knockers from D-RIG on Ebay are the s##t for my rifle! Squirrel head shot sized groups at 75yds...

I also added a new FFP scope to my rig and I'm loving the combo!!!!

Any Luck with that badger .40 yet?
