Tuning Power range for .177 rifles / carbines

I'm shooting a talon p with a .177 barrel and a condor valve with a TT valve stem that has reducer inserts. I am using the smallest.

I am using a higher pressure tank (can fill to 4500) and getting about 20-22 fpe when i max the power wheel and around 12 when i dial it down.

I feel like this is moderate power for a .177, is that correct? I've only been paying attention to 25 caliber and just had a little trouble getting good information from the airgun web sites probably I'm not looking in the right place.

As with all calibers more "useable" power only comes with a heavier pellet in the accurate range of velocity, the JSB 16.2g BEAST pellet works well at 1000FPS meaning 35-36FPE is a "high power" .177, 20FPE is the right power for 10 & 13g .177 pellets.

Any more power than 36 FPE comes from heavy .177 slugs, at which point the cost makes it not worth doing IMO, certainly when it comes to volume shooting anyways.
