Tuning POWER PLENUM HELP!

I have an FX Impact X gen II in .25 ca. I bought the PP and I cant get ST to seal in the valve body once the C1 is screw on the valve stem. I'm 3/4" short. I noticed on Earnest video his hammer, hammer spring, and weight go in far enough the you can't see the spring just the hammer, mine won't insert that far. I could sure use some advise here guys.

thank you in advance

Dennis

Hello guys,

I just recently install FX Slug Power Kit and now I noticed a puff of air comes out the power plenum on the back end where the magazine is. The valve rod is flush with the valve housing in the back. When I installed slug power kit I followed instructions on FX Master class on YouTube. The only thing I did different was that I accidentally pulled the valve rod all the way out and had a little trouble putting it back in but finally was able to.

Could I have damaged an o ring possibly inside the power plenum? My Impact holds air perfectly except when I shoot because again air comes out the back end of plenum.

Anyone know what could be going on and/or any tips I can do to fix without having to remove everything?

Any advice is greatly appreciated!

Cheers,

Rob

My Impact is like a LEGO to me, whenever I remove or replace any part in the compressed air path, I just simple replace all the orings along the way, and lube them btw.

$1 a small bag of 25 pieces, for the entire Impact PP a full bag/all sizes is like $30 a max....may never need but still everybody shall have these in drawers.

I have 2 sets. Some leaks occured but tgey were caused by dirt comming in from the front part of the PP. Those two o rings(one to seal and one to hold the seal in place) looks too vulnerable. There must be otherway to keep the o ring seal from moving back when the plenum is empty from air pressure.

I just had some fun spare time last week and I did some porting on the new spare power plenum last week (enlarged the transfer holes in the rear block, valve house and got a larger peek valve puppet) also polished the long valve rod and the valve sitting cone to mirror finish, also polished the springs and replaced the hammer weight. Replaced the plenum on the gun with new one I just modified, didn't power up the Impact yet, -10C at my place, my basement is a warzone man's cave in progress, let me finish my HT speaker cables layout first. The .25 makes a really big noise I need to figure that first.

Anyway, I toke my plenum apart couple times and never had a problem with those two orings in the plenum cap, but now with polished rod that risk will be minimized to max.
