Day 2 with the Royale .25 ... 

1st Victim was at 58 yards and the second casualty was at 64 yards...needless to say I get excited when I see these moving target pop up in my yard... its becoming a game.

My fx500 always amazes me with 50-80 yard shots. All the time!

Nice shooting! Cool markings on those varmints, what state are you in? I live in California and have not seen that species before.

Wow! Those are tiny targets. You've got some skills. Great job, and you're having fun.

@JohnL57 State of IL ... These things are everywhere and a true pest. I have labs so I don't want to try poison...its been a fun game getting rid of these guys at distances.... I purposely backup to try to make tougher shots.

JohnL57 they are 13 lined ground squirrels, or I have also heard them called striped gophers. We have them all over in southern MN

If you run out of time there's a trap we use out in California-the "squirrelinator". You bait it, they go in but can't get out. It comes with a tub you fill with water for "swimming lessons". So far, no ground squirrel has passed the final exam! I spent quite a bit of time clearing around 160 acres of California ground squirrels. In the process I became addicted to airguns both springer and PCP as well as the "crack" of a solid head shot! My wife the "bunny hugger" is somewhat underwhelmed by all this!
