Just to re-cap my Nov.08 tune on Leshiy2:

350mm - .22 - 104 bar - 0.7 and 0.5 jets - 16 grain AA Field - Avg=893 fps - full 9 mags in a single fill before fall from Reg.

Today replaced the 350mm barrel to 500mm, same Reg

104 bar 956 fps, the longer barrel jumped the speed about 63 fps

97 bar 932

74 bar 856

81 bar 872

84 bar Avg 887 fps - St.Dev 3.8 and I am going to leave it here for now :)

With my Impact I tried two different ways tuning for speed:

- low Reg pressure long dwell time

- high Reg pressure short dwell time, and like this second best. I don't care how much air is wasted I am tethering anyways at BR shooting.

But with Leshiy2 is a different scenario, I did not figure yet to tether from a sling bag, so I would like to keep the air consumption modest possible.

Awaiting for a jets kit from my local dealer any moment to arrive, and will be re-tuning again for .25.

I am targeting 880-900 fps for JSB MK2's 33.9 grain.

Any suggestions?

Depending on which regulator set up will determine your tune to get the 880- 900fps with the JSB 33.9gr. With the REPR regulator and a 350 mm barrel .2 and .5 jet/nozzle i believe it takes 170 bar for 880-900fps, with standard regulator 150 bar for 880-900fps. I think a good starting point for your 500 mm barrel would be two .4 jets/nozzles 120-130 bar regulator pressure

If my memory serves me correct my .25 450 mm barrel increases my velocity by 44fps

I just broke my setup intentionally.........I was playing with that "valve adjustment"screw / from my perspective that screw is only a trigger length adjusting screw, but anyway.

So I played with that screw blank plinking and I made the (blank) shots really quiet down, but now I have no idea what pellet speed will be - I ended up with.

What is your optimum dimension let say from the bottom of the pocket or from tip of the valve - to the top face on that screw?

The installed jets are probably some random sizes, that is common with a factory boxed L2. I measured mine when arrived with small micro drillbits. Nothing is wrong with that, after a year of shooting several combination of jets and many 1K shots I got back to a same ballpark again = that is called a learning curve with jets.
I see a big SD/ES from your numbers, meaning the Dwell is far open. Increase the Reg to see where it starts tightening. Could happen that you will reach the speed of 1000 but a warning ... that 350 barrel will get laud. If the SD/ES still not tightening enough next step is to switch the jets to a # bigger and do it again.
