Post your favorite unregulated gun (.25)

Aren't the Reveres all regulated by now as standard?

My favorite may not count it's a previously regulated FX500 that had it's reg professionally yanked out due to accuracy and shot count issues and plugged to run it better as unregulated to shoot 300+ yards.

Other than that it's my Unregulated 25 Chip Smith-Earnie 25 Chasis Theoben Rapid MK2 with AZ tune and insanely quiet shroud and bone stock unregulated Eun Jin (Seneca) Sumatra 500cc and unregulated 25 Career II 707 long gun. Probably one of my Mad Dog stocked unregulated 25 Air Force Condor too if it wasn't as loud. Tiniest consistent 100 yard groups only my 22 home made slug shooting FX Impact can match. My unregulated 25 Rapid MK2s mostly print tighter groups average than most of my regulated RAW HM1000x as well. Could be due to old Lothar Walther barrels being more accurate.

If I had to start over with an unregulated 25 it would probably be a Benjamin Kratos or Hatsan Flash which I only received the other day so too early to tell accuracy and reliability but all of my 177 and 22 Flash and Vectis rifles seem reliable so gar even with the crappy QC really $hitty machining totally typical regarding Hatsan brand guns.

I would have recommended the Evanix Cloud Semiauto 25 but mine was a leaker early on so I won't recommend one but it is fun as hell to shoot if you get a good one.

.Theoben .22 Rapid. Dead simple and reliable. No reg, no QF, No PG. Three fewer places to leak. Using 14-16 gr. pellets on a 3000 psi fill produces 75 shots @ 30 fpe and a 25fps shot curve. Just count 12 shot magazines and you will know when to top off. Rapids are built like a tank and and when they eventually need a new o-ring or two, the design is so intuitive and easy to work on that even a lawyer (like myself) can do it.

Other unregged rifles that are easy to set up and are also well built and accurate include the AA 400-500 series of rifles - which are yet another collaboration of AA designers Ken Turner and Nick Jenkinson. These are also 200 BAR rifles so you get more fills with less stress on the system.

The Revere with such a small air tube isn't going to give you many shots unregulated much less regulated. With a .25cal I'd suspect about 15-23 shots with a high power tune. The Daystate is a good option in 22cal for good unregulated shot count and good power (probably 30-35 shots at 30fpe. As Doyle said I'm not sure they come unregulated now but there should be lots of un-regulated Regals in stock.

I have two.

Airforce condor type thing with doug Noble valve i put together that shoots .25 at 110+fpe. This is unbelievably loud without a moderator... fun to shoot.

.25 talon ss with high flow valve shooting at 55 - 75 fpe. The same shroud does a good job quieting this so no added moderator is needed. It's not quiet at 70 fpe but it won't make your ears ring.

I bought a re-furb'd Hatsan Flash for $225. It's very accurate and extremely fun. It is the only air gun that I didn't have to work on too. I "chose" to cut off the muzzle break and put on a DFL. It shoots the 10.5 CPD at 900fps and the 13.43 JSB at 846fps, same tune, accurately. I only have a couple thousand pellets through it but it has not given me any problems yet and I don't expect it to. If you haven't tried the lever action on this airgun, you are missing out.

Edit: sorry, I noticed the ".25" after posting
