What would the ideal caliber be for coyote? .30 cal? Slugs?

i have seen a single coyote get a domestic dog to chase him into the woods, where the rest of the coyotes buddies would then attack in mass, so I do think they hunt in packs. ive also had friends hunting in ground blinds charged by a group of 3 to 4 while in their stand....

I plan on some coyote and Bobcat control once deer season is done. We seem to be covered up with them.
