Portable Yong Heng

There was a thread about powering a Yong Heng from a generator probably at least a month ago now. I made made me try to start my Yong Heng off a Milwaukee portable power supply - a battery generator, sort of. It is rated to supply 15A but about 3500 starting Watts. My tank was full at the time so I just started the Yong Heng but said I would fill using the Milwaukee when the tank needed it. I have not been shooting a lot and just refilled my tank from about 3200 psi to about 4200 psi using nothing but the Milwaukee power supply to run the Yong Heng, coolant pump, and fans on the radiator. Took about 12 minutes. YH never got over 50 degrees C. Milwaukee showed one battery (out of two) depleted when I was done but it probably was not completely charged up when I started.

So if you need your Yong Heng to refill your tank when you are not where there is 120V power, you can power it with a Milwaukee power supply. They are not cheap, however. I did not buy it for this, I had it already for other reasons. For a 45 minute SCBA tank like mine you could probably refill it twice. These power supplies weigh about 50 lbs so they are portable but not light.
