My new 22cal slug liner seems to get fouled pretty fast, within 100 pellets/slug shots or so. Whenever I pull a tight patch through it there is a lot of leading and when I do the pull through I can feel it get rough then smoother then rougher etc throughout the liner. I want to polish the liner but I'm concerned about the 22cal bore mop not having enough "padding" to keep the metal parts from coming into contact with the liner ID. I've polished my 25 and 30cal liners but you have a little more room to work with. Curious if there is a safer way to polish it. Was thinking maybe a 177cal mop with maybe a cleaning patch or piece of paper towel wrapped around it. Those of you that have polished yours what did you use?
