Personally, I'm more inclined to think it is the scope itself. The heat effects them easily, My raw and my FX guns all do a small poi change depending on the weather. I think I get much less change in the cold. But here in Texas at 95-100º, when it is 85 in the morning and 105 in the afternoon, I get a poi shift. And like everyone else, once I make that slight adjustment, it holds for the rest of the shooting session. And if the temp doesn't change 15º, it still holds.
And, I think humidity may have a little to do with it. When the humidity is low (like when it is cold) I don't get the shift.
