Does anyone do a yearly (or at some other interval) tear down, inspect and reseal of their airguns or does everyone just do it on an as needed basis?

As needed only for me. And I've been surprised just how infrequently such has been needed considering the complexity of modern PCP air guns.

Once any of my PCPs are tuned to my liking, I never touch any of my adjustments. If it doesn't leak, its shooting good, and you know you have clean dry air going in, there is no need to disassemble anything.

Only time I tear one down is when I modify it. So, I clean and oil then but even that is seldom needed in the many thousands of rounds rounds I have put through my gun.

as needed ...but ... my consensus after being into it more now is that if a handpump has been the main fill method and you value the gun its wise to break it down keep it dried out and treat the metal ..

only as needed. I figure I can do more damage by tearing down unnecessarily than by running till it needs a tear down. Time is a premium for me as well, and taking time to tear down because something might need a reseal usually means the gun is down for months while I get my act together. Maybe after I retire, I'll have the time needed to become an airgun smith.

Only when something goes South as life is too short and the HONEY DO list too long, to be poking around with things that are working say amend.

It just depends. If there is a competition or an out-of-state hunt coming up I may rebuild before those. Otherwise, just around the homestead, I'll wait until I see a reason to rebuild.

I try to pump (hand pump) when the dew point and RH is really low. (Winter easy, Summer requires A/C) Other than that, I only very lightly lube (silicone oil) my pellets, and lube the AG as instructed in the manual.
If I HAVE to take it apart, probably something major is wrong... for the most part... unless I am improving a trigger, moderator, extending LOP, adding cheek rest, etc. I don't do much modding to my AGs that requires taking them apart.
Then again, I am not seeking more FPE like many who post on AG forums. I like my FPE around 12 for pesting and sometimes that is too much considering pass through and ricochet. To each their own.

I lube my o-rings at regular intervals, but other than that it's just fix as needed. Which is rather infrequently. A hand pump or compressor will probably need more maintenance and repair than a PCP rifle.

Fix as needed, but add a few drops of Silicone oil into the Fill probe or hose to lube the fill valve O-ring and to lube other O-rings in the system every 5-10 fills. and lube the moving parts with gun oil once every other month or as needed
