AEA (Plinking,,,,,,,with a big bore

Took my recently acquired Element max to the range today. I wanted to check out low starting pressures. I really like the gun and it's a blast to shoot, but if filling to 300 bar or so seems like a waste. Not to mention crazy Shot strings. So;
I ended up filling to 180 bar, .457 griffin 185gn. tapered base & 600cc air tank.
Shot 1. 847 fps end pressure 175b
Shot 2. 829 fps end press 165b
Shot 3. 815 fps end press 160b
Shot 4. 801 fps end press 155b
Shot 5. 780 fps end press 150b
Shot 6. 770 fps end pressure was140/145b
Had my 74cuft bottle with me at about 303 bar (4400 psi) checked it when I got home and was still a hair above 285b. I could have stayed there until I ran out of ammo and still had air at this rate.
Still making 260 lb ft of energy with very little air consumption. I have to get a better pressure gage for this thing.
Target Shot at 50 yards off a bench and a front bag. 1 and 2" targets.
I had a member once tell me if you want to plink don't get a big bore......ha.
I don't hunt, I have emphysema and nerve damage affecting my walking ability. I just want to go out and have fun. And this is a great freaking way to do it.
Thanks you guys
Mike

Ps the Akela is fun also, just not as much.

That's a great shot string and awesome groups with that low a starting pressure. That 600cc tank must really help. I typically run my .510 Element Max at around 3800 - 4000 psi to start and get only 3 good shots with 4th at lower velocity. I think my best string using a 310 gr slug from an Arsenal mold: 862.3 fps, 817.2 fps, and 782.9 fps. I've only got the standard 350cc tank on mine. I like to shoot mine other than hunting too.
