Plinking at 100 yards with my FX Crown

I am testing the accuracy of my FX Crown .22 at 100 yards.

Clearly the pellets were greatly affected by cross-wind. One of these days I will have to get the slug liner and check how well it will buck the wind.

Hey it was still grouping, don't know the weight you were using? Curious... Why no shroud?

@Dennis. I was using the Air Arm 16gr 5.52mm. My LCD connector does not fit well with the shroud on. Thanks for watching.

Try JSB 18.13 my Crown loves them. Shot 71 yard group with mine in what appears to be a lot more wind and 18 shots, 6 in one ragged hole and the rest on the down wind side Opening to 2" wide and a little over an inch high. To me they were bucking the wind fairly well.

@lenweber2. I will be doing the 18 gr and 25.4 gr testing in the near future. I always been shooting the 18 gr JSB before switching to the AA 16gr. One day I tested both pellets and found my current power set up of my Crown gives me the best and tighter group at 50 yards. I am currently pesting starlings up to 75 yards so it is working for me. Unless they are further back then I will switch to the 18 gr. Thanks.

Good shooting, slightest wind can push the pellets and ruin groups.
