Plinkin' in the Rain

Raining very hard today here in VA. Coming straight down in large drops with little to no wind. I'm one of the lucky ones that have access to 110+ yards to shoot by opening my back door and using my breakfast table as an ad hoc bench rest. Shooting today at 98 yards at a birchwood Casey metal spinner target with 3 5/8", 2 1/4" and 1 5/8" circles. .22 wildcat with JSB 18gr @893fps.

i can't wrap my head around how there seems to be no discernible effect from the heavy rain on the 3.5 mil holdover I use normally at 98yrds. By comparison, a small stem of a weed or brush or light wind can easily deflect a diabolo pellet off course. I am wondering how many of those rain drops that little pellet must hit on its way to target. Strange.

I have wondered that before myself. Never at that range but I have shot at 50 yards in a pretty good rain and it didn't seem to affect poi much, snow also.

That must be awesome having 110 yards to mess with all the time. I can get 100 yards at home but it requires some setup and moving my target back onto my neighbors property. I have his permission, I just don't want to leave my backstop on his property all the time...
