N/A Please recommendations please for very accurate target .177 or .22 air rifle for an adult....up to $600 max

Good morning, speaking from personal experience, two straight-shooting relatively inexpensive ($200-500) PCP .22's you might want to look at are the Gamo Urban .22 (has a built-in moderator) and the Air Venturi Avenge-X (no affiliation with either). I strongly suggest you also consider getting an electric air pump for whatever you get. I have hand-pumped both up from 0 PSI and it can be time consuming and mildly strenuous. Both dead on in the 10 to 20 yard space that I hunt rats. Good luck, it can be a lot of fun.

First of all i would like to thank everyone on this forum who've taught me so much and introduced me to this sport.
Health/injury has left me mostly home bound but i really enjoy shooting and have good fundamentals from years of competitive pistol and long range rifle.

I would like to find a quiet air rifle that is very accurate.
I thought the smaller calibers might be best as it will only be used on paper targets and sound levels are of critical importance. I plan to purchase a moderator in the future as well.
Hoping if possible to limit the search to a new air rifle so i don't have to worry about seals etc for some time.

I spoke with my better half and I think we can afford up to apx. $600 for the rifle.
I would probably purchase on Black Friday to take advantage of any sales....and by then i should have recovered enough from some surgery.

As always I appreciate your suggestions.
How far is your targets ? If limited to 50 or 75 feet paper, single stroke pellet rifles are a great choice.

scroll down to the bottom of the page / the last two rifles and you could buy two one for your wife also 😊 these are very very accurate rifles .
no compressor /no tanks ! just the rifle and a tin of pellets and your set to go .

As a follow up to what Jim D and MongooseV8 said. I have a Stoeger Bullshark, a bullpup and find it to very accurate at 40 yards which is as far as I have shot. Stoeger rifles have a 5 year warranty. Any problem and they replace the rifle with a new one. I had a problem with the baffles in the barrel having owned the gun for almost a year. I sent it to Stoeger U.S. in Maryland. They sent me a new one. They even paid the shipping. The Scout and Ranger are getting good reviews. AirGun Revisions are good people to do business with.
