Please clarify specs: RAW .30 shot count

I see on a site where a RAW HM1000X .30 spits 44.7 grain JSB's @ 880fps for 36 shots, regulated. It has a 480cc CF bottle.

Is this accurate? Is this a "common" 3K fill, or higher fill due to the 4500psi CF bottle?

I'm very soon going to be making a choice on a high end air gun. I almost wish to purchase an old RAPID Made in England & have AZ put all the best from the new into the older rifle. \

Oh...like this old Theoben Rapid MK2 .177, .20, & .22 cal rifle redone by AZ?...

Mine matches those specs-even though it was setup as a .25 cal polygon setup (60 fpe in .25 cal). When I put my .30 cal barrel and probe on the gun I get 40-ish shots in the 875 fps range at higher summer temps (97F), with the HS tension on the lowest setting, shooting JSB lites. I can bump up the power to about 83 fpe with just a HS tension adjustment (shooting .30 cal heavies) or down to the lower 70's. This is with a 230 bar fill...

Look through my BC threads for specific information on power numbers in .30 cal if you want concrete numbers (with temperatures). I've posted a lot of data for actual numbers, in various cals, at various temps (and have more data that I haven't posted also).

Click on my username, and then look for 'threads started' - you'll see a bunch of threads on BC's for a variety of different things. If you have questions, feel free to ask.

Here's one such thread, shot at lower temps (where the velocity is lower as a result).

how many shots to a fill kabulk

I apologize I've never done a full shot string w/ this multi caliber Rapid. I probably never will. I'd rather shoot things w/ pellets. I just fill her up to 250 bar and shoot her down to 150 bar...

From what AZ told me...

The Rapid in .177 cal shooting jsb 10.3g @ 905 fps @ 18 fpe, she gets well over a 100 shots...

In .20 cal, she shooting jsb 13.5g pellets @ 865 fps @ 22 fpe, she gets really close to 100 shots...

In .22 cal, she shooting jsb 15.9g pellets @ 830 fps @ 24 fpe, she gets 80 - 90 shots...

The other note, my AZ tuned .25 Raw HM 1000x is shooting jsb 34g pellets @ 890 fps @ 60 fpe. She's giving me about 40 shoots per 250 bar fill.

Ok, Thanks for all info. Reason I ask is I owned 2 AZ Rapids, both non regulated. As far as I'm aware, even the new RAW balanced valves with a regulator are NOT adjustable externally. I don't think increasing preload on a regulated gun does anything but hit the valve stem harder. Am I wrong?

My long range shooting with air guns has been out to 200 yards even with 29ftlb 18.1 JSB's. I don't expect great results. I'm shooting cow pies so who cares. When you're shooting with 10-12' of drop, it makes for good practice in range estimation & reading wind.

I'm debating on buying an older Rapid & having AZ put the best of the new in & on it in a .22 or .25 Those new heavy high BC .22's have my attention.

When I buy new, there's one rifle I do want from RAW. The regulated .357, and I'm waiting to see if they come out with further improvements. That would be my serious buy a hunting license go Groundhog hunting gun.

I just got a .25 Sumatra off a friend & he said he wishes he'd gotten the .25 RAW as opposed to the .30 for a flatter trajectory.
