plasti dip

Just like ladders and hard hats that are a big no no to paint, a HPA bottle shouldn’t be painted as it will possibly hide faults. At least a neoprene sleeve is easily removed and replaced.

I think if plastic dip was used the urge to scrape it off to do a monthly visual inspection on it won’t happen, as I can see removing and replacing the spray on will get old real fast.

I know there are vendors like Orion that makes 3D sleeves for bottles and moderators in all different colors that are easily slipped on and off, even easier than a neoprene cover.

ive tried plast dip on the grip of my Remington 700 30-06 cause the synthetic stock it came with got slippery when wet. That plant dip lasted one hunting trip outing. All it took was one scratch and it peeled at only certain spot and ended up looking like a big chit pizza pie

Yeah, I figured it wouldn't hold up well on things that were handled. I thought it might be ok on the bottle and shroud. I've used it on my wheels here in Colorado in the winter to keep the magchloride from messing up my wheels and it works great, then just peel off in spring to expose that beautiful chrome. I tried wrapping it in small paracord and looked pretty good but I need more practice on my knots, lol. oh well I'll keep looking. I'll look at Orion's stuff, thanks Bigragu
