Places to do business

I live in Tennessee and I am new to the airgun world and am looking to purchase my first rifle. I have done a ton of research on makes, models, calibers etc. I have looked at all the top advertisers/businesses that make/sell air rilles. I have emailed most and have had only 1 reply back with information.

Currently, I have narrowed my search down to 2 rifles. One is the FX Wildcat and the other is a Vulcan both in .22cal.

My question is - where is the best place to purchase a air rifle that has good customer service before and after the sale and is willing to guide me in my decision making process?

Thank you all in advance for your help

I've had great experiences with Airguns of Arizona, Precision Airguns and Supplies, Pyramyd air, Airgun web, Wild West Airguns, and Top Gun Airguns. Airguns of Arizona is a good store, but they are very very busy and it's often hard to get through to them on the phone. I've actually had good luck using their system where I leave a message and wait for them to call me back. While not the most convenient method, and certainly a pain in the butt, they are a full service center that can both fix and supply parts for the guns they sell and when someone calls you back, the person you are speaking to is generally quite knowledgeable. Pyramyd air is a smoother, much more efficient company but doesn't offer some of the higher end models like FX and Daystate. They are a great place to order ancillary products like pellets, air tanks, pretty much anything. If I want something and I want it quickly and efficiently with a no hassle return policy, I'm ordering it first from Pyramyd air if it is something they stock. Precision airguns and supplies is a great place to do business. It's a small mom and pop place but every time I've called, Jim the owner always picks up and is a great, knowledgeable guy to deal with. Same with Wild West airguns and Top Gun airguns. They are smaller places but both have service centers and you can frequently get the owners on the phone when you call. For the most part, any sponsored link that you follow is going to be a good reputable place to do business.

Good service and guiding, perhaps precision airguns, Jim and Nancy are very nice people.

But, TN really is an airgun paradise!
For some top end rigs:

and

and Rapidairweapons is in TN:

Some great tuners also like David Slade and Paul Watts.

And, the GOB club in Pulaski TN has hosted the Nationals twice and the Field Target World's. Minor Hill also has FT. It IS a long drive but just might save you a LOT of time and money finding airgun bliss. I have fired well over 100 other folks airguns at the 2 mentioned venues and not just FT rigs. I have seen Career 707's, DAQ .458, crosman's latest greatest before production, Steyr, FWB, Crosman, Bam, RWS, ... , target rifles/pistols hunting rifles & pistols, other. You can pick up more knowledge in one day of shooting and talking to people than from reading for a year.

And ( not sure how to find them but) there are several airgunners in your immediate area - they shoot at the GOB when possible- , talk, listen, ask but do try to get some hands on tine with just about any airgun (er) and you'll make all great airgun choices.
