Will different piston seals affect the fps of a springer a lot? I have 2 HW77Ks with the same kits in them but different seals and get about 90 to 100 fps difference in them? thanks for any input on this. Jimmy

If the dimensions of the two different brands of seals are different this will cause different velocities.
I switched from one brand of aftermarket piston seals for two of my HW95s to another brand because I was getting lower velocities with the first ones that I tried.
With new piston seals make sure you give them a chance to break in before you change them out.

If you installed an ARH seal without sizing it, it will absolutely rob some power. They're usually oversized by design

Thank for the reply. I check them when I in stalled and they where exactly the same size. One is ARH and the other is VORTEK VAC.

Vortek seals will resize themselves some with use but ARH seals will not. It really doesn't take a whole lot of extra seal to gum up the works.

Save yourself the time and either just order a second Vortek seal or plan on sizing the ARH seal.
