Pishtov RAS-01

I have decided to return my Pishtov, for 2 days I have been contacting them requesting return information, they will not respond back. Let's see if there claim "If you don't like it, turn it back" holds up. I wanted to like this rifle but every morning it has drained to zero from a full fill the night before. The advertised claim "play with 1100fps, should read play with 650. The claim of adjusting the power is false, on the regulated models you cannot. As a new player in the market it's clear Pishtov dealer does not know anything about airguns. From piss poor packaging to non_existing quality control.

I'll be home later today to try mine. I'm a bit concerned since they claim 7 day return if not satisfied and I had to leave to go out of town the day it arrived, 8 days ago! So, essentially it's been untouched for that past 7 days. If it's not accurate, or does not produce the advertised power, I will probably be returning it as well. Sounds like it may have come to market prematurely.

Flgunner, if yours is the unregulated model, you may be ok. Others have posted in the high 800`s with unregulated. I have over 2000 shots thru mine since Saturday, the cocking action has smoothed out and accuracy has improved, but the constant leaking and low velocity is a deal breaker for me. Today is my 7th day and they are ghosting me on email returns. I'm sure they will contact me tomorrow, day 8 and say sorry we have a 7 day return policy. Good luck with yours, keep us posted.

Well, I've had this rifle for a week and am just now being able to test it. I did a quick video documenting my review. Disclaimer: I'm no professional when it comes to this stuff, so this is a pretty much what you see is what you get! You are seeing it first hand, at the same time I'm seeing it for the first time, so I hope this provides an unbiased first look of the Pishtov regulated long gun!

As you can see, it started off a little rough, but with only 40 pellets down the barrel, it is showing some promise! Here are the Chrony numbers for the 14.3 Crosman Hollow Points:

The JSB Jumbos resulted in much tighter groups. The first group was .895" center to center at 40 yards. The second group was even better at .623" center to center at 40 yards.

I have topped it off at 200 bar and will let it sit over night to see if it loses any air.

I apologize for the rather crude, unrefined video, but it is what it is! LOL! I will report back how well it's holding air tomorrow!

I did a shot count this afternoon. The neighbors weren't out, so I squeezed in an 80 shot string using JSB 15.89 grain Jumbos. The was still sitting at 200 BAR after filling it yesterday afternoon, so this is a very good sign! 80 shots took it from 200 BAR down to and Exact 100 BAR! How often does that happen? I have no idea what the regulator is set at, but it was giving me pretty consistent readings right up to the last shot! I could probably get another 10 - 20 shots with the same accuracy, but for me 80 is acceptable! Here's the shot string:

I was just corresponding with them on FB about 20 minutes ago, so they are still around and watching their FB Page. They shared the video I did and a couple 10 shot groups I posted. I asked about the availability of an adapter so a moderator can be attached to quiet it down. The thing is way too loud! The only other issue I have is with the magazines. I have one that the first pellets is always hard to chamber, which is probably damaging the pellet. The first shot from that magazine is always 6 inches left of where I'm aiming! The remaining 9 are dead on! The other magazine is hit and miss, something all 10 feed fine, other times I'll get 2-3 that chamber hard and result in extreme flyers! I'm sure they will work it out, it would be nice though if they took better care of us early adopters!

I did some trigger work today. Not much can be done, but what little I did do have a tremendous return! There is only one adjustment and you have to remove the stock to access it.

It's the grub screw right in front of the trigger and it just adjust the tension on the trigger weight spring. I backed it off about 4 turns and that alone made it much lighter.

The trigger assembly is accessed by removing the cover that's held in place by two screws. That whole assemble was bone dry and had a gritty feel. I blew it out with compressed air and added a shot of silicone gel. The lube really smoothed things out! The combination of these two small changes really made a difference in the feel and performance of the trigger.

This will be my last post to this thread as I am now Pishtov-less.

I UPS'd my rifle back to them last week per their "If you don't like it, turn it back" policy on their web site. They received the gun last Thursday.

I had not heard from them, so I sent an email this morning to ask about the status of the refund.

By this afternoon the refund was made to my PayPal account. So Pishtov U.S. did fully honor their guarantee.

I do hope they ultimately succeed with their air guns in the U.S. market - having more choices, especially reasonably priced ones, is always a good thing for us.

And it sounds per FLgunner's reports that they may be real close to having their guns run and shoot well.

I was watching these guns for awhile. I liked the look. Simple tactical with a nice handguard.

BUT! Something seemed slightly off. I first saw them pop up on lethal air. (Lethalair seems like a legit small shop to me)

https://lethalair.net/shop/ols/products?page=18 I did some digging like we all do.

I did some digging like we all do with google. I didn't find much but what I did find was a patch work of one off websites selling the gun under a different name. But some also claimed a different manufactures.

Now they are on ebay as "Pneuwa" and https://www.cattlemanguns.com/
