Pictures and Stories of our hunts with Springers/Gas-Ram Rifles.

Hi, I think I'm not that good of a shooter to begin with, but it also isn't easy to do so after crouching or running up hills for a while, and these guns are not laser accurate, so I didn't risk it, but as you said, it's preferred.
About the pellet getting stuck in the meat, it happens maybe less than 5% of the time for me; It's always a clean pass through because the gun is 4.5mm.

It's protecting the stock and barrel from scratches caused by stones; the gun is fine, held together by bolts.

This is the terrain:

So you can imagine the land is not very kind to a beautiful marriage of steel and wood, hence the need for protection.
Beautiful scenery

That is some very beautiful country that you are hunting in, I wouldn't last five minutes there, I'm a flatlander! 🤪 Rough country takes a lot of stamina.

When I was younger and in better condition I did hunt quite a bit with springers. I do still have a .177 Beeman R1 but rarely do any hunting with it.

Thanks, I appreciate that.
I personally love rugged highlands, but we also have ultra-flat lands between mountain ranges like this:
Which is perfect for bikes or just running around.
