Picking breadfruit with my Brocock Contour S6

A few days ago, my old man asked me to shoot down a couple breadfruit that started to ripen. I have a few breadfruit trees behind my house and they get really tall making it hard to use a pole to pick them. I decided to use my Brocock Contour S6 Elite in .22cal for the job. It only puts out 16 FPE but it's good enough to do the job.

I also have my Athlon Helos BTR Gen2 2-12x42 mounted on top which was set at 6x and it's the perfect combination. Shooting at the stems can be difficult especially when the wind starts to pick up making them sway all over the place. I didn't have an area to rest the gun on so I had to shoot them offhand which is a fun challenge. All it takes is 2-3 shots at the stem and the weight will bring them down.

If you have never tried breadfruit, it's really delicious especially when fried. You can either add salt or powdered sugar. There are other ways to prepare breadfruit and there are lots of recipes for them. So do any of you guys use your airguns to shoot down fruit?

This is the tree I shot it down from...

Not sure I've had one of those, but looks tasty. Can't recall I've ever shot down any fruit, but I did used to have a really thick climbing rope up in a tree. The weather and squirrels ruined it, and I just didn't feel like using spikes to climb back up there and take it down. Used the Crown and CHPs for that one

I have a wana be contour as well, lol. Never noticed, but my 3d printed trigger could easily be mistaken for the one that's supposed to be on it.

@Long_Gun_Dallas

I wouldn't mind one of the older single shots. The magazine indexing system on the Contour S6 can be a little quirky at times. That trigger guard looks like an OEM part to me. Good job.

@CrazyDave

Coconuts are a little harder because they have thin stems. I've shot them down before though. I wasn't too sure if many in the mainland knew about breadfruit.
