Picatinny Adapter

Hey guys I need some help here. I don't know what I was thinking I ordered a 34mm scope and a set of Picatinny rings. But I planned on putting it on my Wolverine that is a dovetail. So I can either wait to get another set of dovetail 34mm rings or get some kind of adapter and use the rings I have ordered. I wonder how stable the adapters are and how much height I would add. I don't want to add much height. Any ideas?

I'm sure this will get some denigrating remarks from the purists, but these are the exact adapters I used when I did the Daystate Red Wolf Standard GCU2 review and didn't want to take my main FT scope out of its picatinny rings. 

It worked fine for moa accuracy @ 100 yards, and I think I shot about 95% at a field target match using that gun and these adaptors. 

But, many will say scope rings and accessories need to cost $100+ so what do I know.

i agree the utg snapins work well .. theyll add aprx 1/8" of height ..

I had a set of the UTG snap-in discussed above on a Daystate Pulsar. I was also using a 34mm scope and at that time it was almost impossible to find a 34mm dovetail mount. Mine worked fine without any issues.

I have put the UTG pic adapter on four different springer with zero issues.

+1 on the UTG picatinny adapter. I have been using one for nearly 2 years with no issues.



Edit: I don't own a springer of any kind.

The UTG is great since it has the angle, but my favorite is the Gamo picatinny adapter. The reason is that it’s longer flatter and has a much better stop pin. It’s hard to come by I bought 3 of them from this place in Ireland they shipped with no problems.

I used the UTG one that I got with my used Condor SS to mount my Sightmark Wraith on it since I couldn't change the mount on the scope. I've been impressed with how solid it holds. It added a little height, but honestly, it's not much and I could use a little more on my gun.

I've also used the UTG snap in adapters on several rifles. Never had any movement on a Diana 460.

Another plus one for the UTG Adapters. There was another brand i also have tried and they worked as well. I've used the little individual ones, (ie: a pair for a pair of rings,) and I've used the long rail versions that JungleShooter linked to as well, all have done exactly what we need of them.

Nothing like luck! I had a set of those in my stuff. And I have toyed with the idea of getting another Tiapan but in 177. The picatinny rings that I thought I mistakenly ordered would work there too.

Update on my pic adapter need for the Athlon Pic rings. The rings have 2 cross slots machined into the base of the ring. The snap in type adapter I had in a drawer only have one slot so they won't mate with the rings. I had a rail type adapter in my drawer also but it raised the scope to much and it for me to use successfully. They make a snap in that is longer and I ordered a set. I have an assortment of rings but not 34mm
