How do you miss when there isn’t even a gap between the birds? As long as elevation is correct there is no missing no matter the wind. I would just shoot the area with most birds and see how many I get, like bowling.

You can miss. Starlings have a small body mass. If you swarm shoot all you get is feathers.

lol qball. I am pestings not bowling. I try to be ethical and careful every time I shoot. So I don't cause any unnecessary property damage or injuries to birds. As much as I like to just launch projectiles into a crowd of birds, I prefer to pick them out the best I can. And yes feathers I got quite frequently, thanks lenweber2. I notice when I do my editing and watching some of the slow shots and I would tell my self to shoot faster, but at the moment behind the trigger, I do get the anxiety and rush to just shoot quickly. I have to time my breathing, reading the wind, hoping for the best shot angles. Yeah, it is often not as simple or easy as it looks sometimes, especially the long distance shots. Forgive me but I am still a rookie, lol. Thanks for watching.

I enjoyed your video. I never thought there was a need for a full auto PCP, I stand corrected. I think spray and pray would have done nicely on that tractor... granted slightly less ethical. Maybe we should adopt the Joe Biden policy of aiming for the legs? Sounds more humane.

thanks Barney. If I put any dings on that tractor I would not be pleased with myself and needless to say, it would jeopardize my permission to shoot at this location. Therefore, I rather take some criticism from some viewers and do the silly spray and pray...

Sometimes the large group of starlings showing up at the same time often messed me up, lol. Too many to choose from and the ideal of hitting a double often spoiled with no result.
Unless you are there behind the trigger scoping all these targets, you wouldn't know how panic one could get, lol.
