After many nights of stalking I finally got my coyote#4 at one of my new permission. I thought it would be much easier with the setup at this location but I was wrong. A few coyotes were spotted with my trail cams where there were coming in at different times thru out the nights so it was difficult trying to time the hunt. They were very cautious and moving around a lot not giving me time to take a head shots in many occasions. If I was using a bigger calibre than a .22 or a powder burner then the job would be a lot easier I think. But only armed with .22 shooting slug, I had to wait patiently with a perfectly placed head shot. So many nights I was emptied handed and failed miserably especially after spending long hours in the freezing cold. But my patience and persistent eventually paid off.
I am sure there will be a few of you judging me negatively but life is too short for me to worry about it and I know there will be others who would appreciate my time and effort.
Enjoy.
