With some of the rat videos I see out of the U.K. I think I'd go with traps first, and cleanup with the airguns.

I had just set up my target to practice when this jumbo showed up. This thing is huge! .177 @ 700fps, I dropped him on the first shot and followed with 7 more to make sure! 38 yards crosman 14.3 from Walmart. 6 bucks for 500, what a deal!
Now that’s is PROPER L2 etiquette!!! And that’s whopper of a rat!!!

Really? 8 shots? You must really hate rats lol. I bet if the L2's mag capacity was 10 shots, that wouldn't have stopped you from unloading all 10. I would have done the same thing but my L2 is currently set up in the .30/350mm configuration and that's a no go around my house. Too much collateral damage lol.

These large rats seldom just fall dead with one shot, they've enough life to scoot under the fence and die in the neighbors yard and I dont get to admire my trophy and take a picture. Until you shoot a semiauto Leshiy 2, you wont understand how easy it is to burn thru an 8 shot magazine.

it cracks me up when I see many threads showcasing 1 shot kill with the L2…….why bother! Any descent gun can do 1 shot kill but only L2 and other semi auto guns can rain death!!! If disagree and insist on 1 shot 1 kill then just sell the L2 already, it’s pointless. There are many better guns than L2 for 1 shot 1 kill.
