Personal Best 50 Yards With 12 FPE Springer

Shot a personal best today.

I know that for many, these groups are routine. I was shooting today with fellow member DHC.

We had a great day with low winds and great guns.

Shot this group with a legendary gun previously owned by both legends Steve Vines and Roz Sumpter. Makes me proud to be a lefty!

Now you can't beat that my friend!

Beautiful TX..... what pellet you shooting?

I've been itching to shoot some springers myself but the weather up here in the great white north has been horrible for days! Cold windy and rainy!

I just put a different scope on my HW97 .20 and I hate having a gun not sighted in...lol

Thanks James. Shooting JSB 7.87's

Gotta get that 97 sighted in. Critters are waiting.

Oh Man! Every time I wonder why there are never any used quality left hand target springers for sale, the answer remains the same. “Lewis has em all” 😫. Mega congrats on this one. Beautiful gun! Uj

Not by a long shot. I actually only have a handfull, usually selling one to get another. I've just been very lucky to find some really nice ones though. PM me if there is anything you might be looking for. I'm always on the hunt.

Such an awesome group! Dime size @ 50 yards, incredible…doing it with a springer, even better, with grain like that - lucky 🍀 lefty Priceless!!!

That is truly a magic group sir.

Enjoy it. I would’ve been so excited walking down to go look at it.

Made my night, I haven’t shot forever.

Thank you for posting it

I forgot 12 foot pounds. And John, you have to be quick.

That stock, that rifle, is so above average in every way. And then you shoot that group. Dang. Magic. 🎯

This is why I no longer shoot springers and only shoot PCPs.

That's a great group for a springer and and average group for a PCP.

Diferent strokes. I enjoy both. I like the challenge of the spring guns, and the supreme accuracy of a PCP. A car is much more practical than a bicycle but they are different enough that having both is fun.

@nobody1 I don't think that's an average size group for a PCP. No doubt many PCP can achieve that but in my experience it takes hard work tuning in a PCP and then getting practice in to get that kind of group. I'd be stoked to get a group like that with any of my PCP rifles. I admit that I am not a champion level shooter but I can shoot well and that's a damn good group for me at 50 yards especially with a 177. The wind just kills you after 20 yards with a 177. I live in a very windy area though so your milage may very. Anyway friendly disagreement I guess I would say it's common for a PCP to do that with a great shooter and a tuned gun. Is that what you meant? No disrespect my friend it's possible I just suck at shooting compared to you.🧐
