Penetration Test

Wanted to see if anyone would be interested in doing this. I have a bunch of cabinet grade oak plywood and high density foam. Basically I thought about layering a 1/2 high density foam to 1/4 inch ply to high density foam to 1/4 inch then another layer of foam with a 1/2 inch oak ply.
These would be 6"x6" and all of them would be made of the same wood and same foam then everyone can post and compare results at set ranges
What do you think???? If there is enough interest I will start cutting

Hey Willie,

I'd be interested! I'm in the process of updating my shooting area in my backyard ... and this would perfect way to test penetration of select pellets...
Like to compare my PCP's: Condor(s), Talon, Sam Yang .25, Sam Yang 909s (might be a stretch), Wildcat .25 (my favorite) and a couple springers, RWS 350 .22 and Gamo WFP .177.

Isn't the ballistic gel expensive? Thought I read somewhere that it was kinda salty.

What I was aiming at was to keep the material the same so everyone would have a good example.
Even gels would differ I think if mixed differently
