Pellets

What is the best place to buy pellets at a reasonable price? Thanks Jimmy
What type of pellets, you want the good stuff or back yard feather poper.? Midway has discount pellets, field supply has discount pellets, pryimid has buy 3 get one free and talon tunes has altaros slugs which are about the most accurate slug you can buy. Maybe that'll help you. I search the stores for sales and when I find a brand ,caliber and weight that my guns shoot good,I buy a hundred dollars worth. Talon tunes has javelin 22cal slugs for 11dollars and some change per 200. That's a discount.

For use in lower powered airguns, I have been pleased with umerex 1,400 count boxes from Tractor Supply.

Depends.

If you want top shelf, I buy from Pyramid. Treiner does good but I Pau about a buck more delivered per tin from him.

I shoot a bunch of Crosman 14.39gr pellets, I get them at Walmart for $7 a tin of 500. They are great for plinking.

I wouldn’t say never Amazon. There are times they have a deal and I want to try a certain pellet. I don’t won’t to commit to multiple tins. I have ordered from Amazon and the order was fulfilled by Pyramyd and packaged just like you would expect from PA. It also depends on the pellets. JSB pellets have thin skirts and soft lead. Packaging is critical. H&N and Crosman have thick skirts and harder lead, they can take some abuse. All that said make them you last choice unless it’s a deal.

If I am buying one tin of a pellet to try, I often buy from Amazon. The last 4 orders have arrived in good shape despite the "throw it in a bag" shipping method. I've returned JSBs to them because the pellets were trashed, however. I do not place any bulk orders of a pellet I've decided my gun likes from Amazon. Amazon's big advantage on the little orders is the "free" shipping. Sometimes their price is too high for that to be an advantage but it is often as low as the other sources or at least pretty close.

Bigger orders got to Pyramid Air mostly but I have ordered from the Pellet Shop and Utah Airguns and probably others I am forgetting at the moment. One of my Pyramyd orders was fulfilled by Midway and it arrived OK. But I have received trashed pellets from Midway and they are not as easy to deal with as Amazon is for returns. I tried to order some once from Hatsan because their prices were good and they were having a sale but the website was so wonky I couldn't place the order. So I don't know if they package well or not.
