First and always, I hope all on this forum are well and in good spirits!! My post involves some comments regarding o-rings (in breech) and pellet types. I am still waiting for my pre-ordered Wildcat in .22 caliber (I am going crazy) and to make use of the time before it finally arrives I started to buy accessories for it. The comments refer to not using wadcutters or non-domed pellets in order to keep the o-rings in good condition as well as some rings in the magazines.
I like wadcutters for close in work and use them in my "old" Falcons though they are single-shots and no mags are involved.
Is this true? Will wadcutter and similar wear down o-rings? And are these breech o-rings a hassle to replace?
Any advice would be welcome. Thank you in advance and please go into any of your history with this subject.
Sincerely,
OldFalc
