Pellet tracking with SloMo Tactacam

This past week I've experimented with painting the inside of pellet skirts with white, yellow & red paint to, hopefully, make them more visible on videos. Finally got around to trying Day Glo orange & think it's a keeper. Pardon the crappy video quality (something was obscuring my scope) but even so I can still track the pellets. Expanded screen works better & maybe even slowing down more with YouTube settings. (Gerry Reba on YouTube, click on the G in blue circle, click on videos at the top) Was pesting with C'cut, we took out over THIRTY ground squirrels!

Tactacams need a long eye relief. Ive found my Arken SH4 gives the best videos. It has almost 4" of eye relief. Try zooming out until the shadow disappears.

What brand paint are you using?

I thought about paint flecks in barrel also. I'll run a nylon brush & a few patches through after I use up the painted pellets I have. It's a cheap, $3 can of Walmart spray. I found if I spray the pellets white first & then the orange they show up better. (I push pellets into foam rubber so ONLY the inside of skirt gets painted) Hope this answers the questions.

Think Day Glo orange is the way to go. Crappy video quality, my fault, but the idea gets across. (Better on expanded screen & slowed down)

My friend uses Fluorescent Glow Paint on his pellets to see them at night without night vision, just red light, he holds the magazine up to a light before shooting, he said they work great.

Now I'm thinking about trying UV paint & a UV flashlight. Don't know how far a UV flashlight beam will carry. @Carboncreative, that might work with night vision. Just a thought.

LED UV is getting much better, Worth a shot...No pun intended! Lol I have some glow in the dark epoxy powder...But bit concerned about something other than lead going down my barrel...I've got some painted up so a re=size to scrape any side spray....May leave them in the sun to bake a bit.
