Pellet tests

Nice calm day for some pellet trials.
Set up the target at 36 yards.
Still learning how to shoot the S510. Will have to move the scope forward to get a better sight picture as the eye relief isn’t much at higher powers.
Tried some with the gun set to 1/2 power and some at 3/4 power. Started with 175 bar fill and shot it down to 100 bar.

I suggest you try JSB s in different weights, also Crosman Premier in the box. A company called Straight Shooters sells an assortment so you can try a lot of different pellets without buying full tins. It's a good idea to pull a few patches when changing brands while testing. Are you shooting from a bench or table? You want to be as steady as possible. You can use rolled up towels or bags of rice for a rest if you don't have bags or a benchrest.

The Gamo pellets were in a sample pack I got. Shooting with a bipod from a bench which has never been something I’ve been good at. The previous owner of the rifle said the JSB 10.34s shot well for him just trying to get some shots in between rain showers. Thanks for the tip on the patches when changing pellets
