Pellet sorting idea

I have not bothered to sort pellets yet, but this video (which I found on Reddit) seems like a solid idea for no (or almost no) cost.

It is a great idea. One must start with round skirts for that to work. Any flat spots on a skirt and you get a bad measurement. The same is true for any other kind of sizing tool pretty much.

First weigh them, then make sure the skirts are round, then size them.

My thoughts exactly, oldspook. I think it is an idea with merit for less complex needs than pellet sizing.

They are 20.00 each and made well. I use the 5.53 to uniform CPHPs.

I doubt he is sizing the skirts, just the head. It looks like the two top plates are spaced up from the plate the skirt sits on allowing just the head to get "pinched".

Well that makes sense, I guess heads can't get out of round.

Seriously though, I think you are right because the angle brackets are bent, not extruded. That would leave a small bevel at the base plate where the skirt would slide freely. It is a good idea.
