Pellet sizer in .25

Hello everyone!

today I’ve got a pellet sizing tool from Krale in cal.25.

I have sized a bunch of pellets so that i can be sure that my ST Barrel has a chance for his lead build up, and then I can say something about accuracy.

Here are two pellets, they are the JSB King heavys .25

the left one was original, and the right one was resized.

At Saturday I’ve time to check out if it helps accuracy wise.

so I’m pretty excited how it works with my rifle. 😉

Fascinating. I didn't realize this was a thing, and they're very modestly priced. Any word on what size heads and skirts are considered optimal for the different FX calibers?

Yes me too, I just Gotha recommendation when i was surfing on his Website and then i thought ill give it a try. I really dont know whats best for the FX Barrels, so I just have to try if it works or Not. But I realized that the heavy kings have little more skirt diameter than the 25gr kings.

Pretty cool Patrick, what size does it size them to? .250?

Looking forward to results

Hello my friend!

Yes it's pretty cool, but I hope i brings some improvements. Jup it sizes them to .250, so my thinking was that the pellets with smaller diameter get more speed on the smooth Part of the Barrel with less friction, and because of that it needs less air to accelerate, and then maybe i get more shots on a full Charge of the rifle. But maybe im wrong, at saturday i can say more about it.😉

Hello my friends!

Im right in the middle of testing if the pellet sizer works. But here are some numbers of a shotstring with 55 shots of the resized .25 King heavys.

Good speeds out of those for sure, do you find the grouping any tighter? 3/4 at 70m is very good!

Yes my plan works out, now I’ve tuned down to around 830.

about the groups I can’t say much, cause it was a little rainy today, but at a few minutes where the rain has died down I got a 5 shot group at 69m with 8mm ctc. Now I’ve completely disassembled my rifle to clean and lube it, and then I go back to my range to dial all in again.
