I'm not to one that's gonna go thru every pellet and measure them but I do have a question.
I was looking at some H&N pellets and some come in 5.51 and 5.52. Will one give better accuracy? Will one have higher fps? Which is better?
I will be shooting them in my Hatsan MOD 65. I picked up a tun of H&N Baracuda Hunter Extreme at Bass Pro and feel like those are more accurate the Crossman Premier, Umarex Brimstone and RWS Superdome (which are the worst) so I want to try different pellets, H&N and JSB's.
Here is a pic of a group of the H&N's at about 45 feet, which I think is pretty good, for sure better than the RWS.

It’s all really rifle to rifle. I’ve found 177 to be more picky with head size than 22, and 25 the least. Pellets that is. I always try crosman domes, 16 gr Air Arms, and 18 gr JSB first in any 22 rifles. I’ve been fortunate that all except two crosman have liked the 16 or 18 gr jsbs. My crosman barrel 2240 and 2250 group hades the best.

I’ve found rifles that like the crosman 14.3 domes will shoot just a bit better with the JSB pellets, but it’s nice to have them for plinking steel or shooting rats on the cheap.

I got some AA"s and JSB's I'm my cart, so I can try different pellets.

AA and FX pellets are made by JSB. Your gun may have a preference but they are all pretty similar. But they are also good pellets. Since you are happy with one H&N pellet you might want to try Baracuda or Baracuda Match. I don't have a pellet head size gauge in 22 but in 177 I find the Baracuda Match to have more consistent head sizes. But they are a little more expensive.

While I like H&N pellets, in my experience, the size marked on the tins is rarely the actual size of the pellets within. Normally a tin marked 5.52mm us closer to 5.54mm. Just my observation anyway.

I started re-sizing pellets somewhere last summer, for my style makes a huge difference. After washing-lubing I stopped doing any other sorting (weight, rolling and whatever we could come up with chasing the woodoo).
I bought couple TrRob pellet sizers, I had to rework them a bit to my liking. I slug the resized pellet to check the land bite, lock the sizer and that is it.
The pellet head and the skirt will be consistent - for that given liner. Then I compared all of my liners and came up with a generic size that fits all.

Man, that sounds like a lot work. That's why I don't want to size and weight them.
I spilled some Crosman Premiers on the ground so I need to wash them, what do you use to lube them?

Re-sizing is much less work then weight sorting or rolling or size sorting... btw I am shooting target rings and the MOA means "something" to me.
