Pellet shortage?

Noticed Pyramid air was backordered on several brands of pellets.

Should we be concerned about a pellet shortage, like were seeing with firearm ammunition?

Heard ammo manufacturers were having a hard time securing lead and brass.

I’m not happy about the 177!JSB RS pellets being back ordered. I might just have to put in an order and hope for the best. I’m mostly using JSB Exacts lately but still. It certainly appears that there’s a pellet shortage at the moment.

Today I ordered some Crosman primiers in .177. The Crosmans in .22 have been out of stock for a while except for the Crosman Piranhas.

Knock on wood I have had no problem getting pellets I only buy jsb in .22 .25 and .30 I just had 15 more tins delivered this week none back ordered,

Got 3500 being delivered tomorrow myself, likely just depends on what someone is trying to find. What you want may likely be the same pellets a couple 1000 other shooters also are so when retailers finally get some in they're already sold to customers who placed backorders and just a wild random guess but the guess is there are lots of backorders for them to try and fill.

There are other places such as Trenier and AoA and other non mainstream places to buy pellets just by doing a search.

lead is lead...we will have to wait and see huh. I have a good amount for the Zombie Squirrel 🐿 Apocalypse though.

I notice a lack of certain JSB .25 here in the UK

I would suspect the factory switching to slug production,

with a bit of hoarding and covid19 into the mix.

You should really talk to your local dealer, I am really good friends with a dealer in PA and they said they just hadn't really been putting in orders for pellets and its making all kinds of waves since everyone started buying in bulk and now their running short...

Locally, there sure is, and I've had pellets back-ordered on Amazon and Pyramid too. Trenier is cool though, as they show you right there what is in stock, and seem to have plenty.

Pellets have been a little spotty lately, I order enough to qualify for free shipping and that usually gets me enough to last a bit. Slugs have been much easier (knock wood). I may beef up my stock there a little just in case things get sparse.

I just got 2500 JSB .22 caliber from Pyramid last week. I just clicked the "notify me when in stock" button and ordered as soon as I got the email. With so much "teleworking" happening I suspect lots of people have more free time than usual to plink away.
