The house next door we own but is scheduled to be torn down. My Bell target sits on a stool next to the outside wall 20 yards from my portable shooting bench. I was was shooting my .25 Marauder with JSB 25.39 grain pellets at 863 fps at the bell. A spider decided to walk up the wall of the house next to to the target. My Marauder is sighted in at 20 yards so I decided to shoot the spider knowing the 25 grain pellet would go through the siding of the house. The pellet went through the spider, 7/16" siding, inside wall insulation, 1/2" sheetrock on the inside of the closet, across 24" of closet and through one side of a hollow core closet door.
In this case, I was not concerned with any wall penetration since the house is empty and is going to be torn down. However I was impressed with the complete penetration of the wall by the .25 at the 20 yard distance.
I tell this just to show others to be careful and if they think their pellet rifle won't penetrate an outside wall of a house and maybe do damage to something or someone on the other side, think again. know the background behind your target and don't think for a minute that you can't accidentally miss your target and hit something you would be sorry for, like another person on the other side of the wall.
Be safe.
