Pellet Groups and distances

If i shoot 18 jsbs at 32 yards i get a 1/2" group with 14 jsbs i get a 1/4" group . At 55 yards lets say i get a 1" group with 18's would i get 1/2" group with 14's.? what i am asking wiil pellets group differently at different yardages? the gun is a 22 wildcat.

My Taipan .22 Long shoots the 18's slightly better than the 15's at 50 yards. But at 100 yards the 15's are slightly better than the 18's. It's weird.



Heck, anything out of a CZ barrel is awesome!

It would be interesting to find out. Usually with my guns heavier pellets shoot better at longer distances.

Theres two factors that determine if a projectile will maintain the same moa accuracy as you increase the distance. The first one is wether the projectile is stabilized good enough to maintain the same accuracy as it sheds velocity down range. Theres more to the bullets ability and what effects it but we can keep it simple for this topic. The second factor is the shooter. Does the shooter have the ability to maintain the same level of accuracy as the distance increases.
