Pellet culling

Well, Ammo culling pellets or Slugs.

Question.

Is it generally universally excepted that in a particular gun, what shoots better at , say. 30y will also shoot better at. say. 80y.

I'd say generally maybe. Pellets probably lose stability at different rates so one that is fast and accurate up close may lose velocity rapidly and become less stable at a bit further distance. Resistance to wind drift might vary a lot across pellets at different ranges as well.

No I really feel that 50 to 60 yards should be the MINIMUM to evaluate expected accuracy in any airgun. My HW30s does great at 30 yards and not so great at 80 yards for example.

100 yards would be ideal IMHO.

I don't even bother to waste slugs for shooting closer than 100 yards either.

Pretty bummed buying guns from sellers that only shot them at 25-30 yards they don't even know if they do half inch at 50 yards (OR NOT).

Many people have no interest in shooting at 50 yards for a "minimum".
