I've been looking far and wide for a PCP shotgun that will be ethical for turkey! Here in Michigan the laws allow turkey by way of airgun but must be in shotgun form. Any ideas? Thanks

That’s a tall order . I would suggest a custom build as I don’t think there are any off the shelf guns out there that would fit the bill . There’s the Wingshot but I don’t think it has the power .
How about , loading three 000 lead shot into a .25 caliber gun , would that not qualify as a “shotgun” . Either way you chalk it up , it’s probably better to simply buy a powder burner . ( man I can’t believe I just wrote that ) I feel shame .

Have you looked at Terry Tate's PBBA Pro 20 gauge it is a break barrel that uses a shotshell you use over card wads for the shot I just traded for one haven't gotten to use it yet. But have seen where people are turkey, ducks and other birds plus you put a insert barrel and shoot 457 bullets.

Why not use a .25 cal or .30 cal? I used to them 1 shot and turkey do crazy dance and died. These pcp/break barrel air shotgun are weak. Meant for small birds. I wouldnt used air shotgun at turkey. They are big animals and these small weak bb going into them will just wound them. Use a real shotgun or use a single .25 cal/30 cal airgun.

Seneca Double Shot is a pretty badass gun, definitely can take a Turkey with that gun. Shoots AirBolts as well as .50 slug's, I used one on Rabbits, Quail, Doves and was loading my own shotshells. Highly recommend that gun.

Even a .177 or .22 does well on Turkey. Just needs to be accurate. Doesn't take much power to dispense a turkey provided you hit the brain pan or a neck shot. Do agree that an air shot gun would be I'll advised, unless you're right on top of bird.

That .20ga s full power and should work just fine.
Years ago has a Fire 201 Career with a .410 barrel which worked just fine at 25 yards. Naerly makes me think the Sencaca (sp) might do it?

Can’t use air rifle on turkeys here in Mi. Shotgun, bow and arrow or muzzle loading shotgun with #4 shot or smaller only. I have a Wingshot. It’s NOT ENOUGH GUN for turkeys... at 10 yards or less it will kill them. But not on the spot. And chasing or tracking turkeys is not an easy thing to do. I believe Criss was working on a .410 barrel last year.

I would have already used a .25 or the .30 but if law here says it need to be taken by means of Air shotgun minimum of #4 shot! I really like that pbba 20ga leaning toward that! I think that gun has what it takes!

Would the PBBA Pro 20Ga work for skeet shooting?
Where I live it’s not allowed to shoot on your own land with Powder burners but there is no issues with shooting Airguns.

I looked into this before as well, and came to the conclusion I was better off with a crossbow out to 60 yards.
The PBBA gun was attractive until you think about trying to use it in a blind...

unless you are point blank i would not use my wingshot to actually hit a bird. looking to sell my wingshot for this very reason.

Man I never even knew that. Do you hunt private or state? If private I would just go ahead (if it were me just saying) with a suitably large enough caliber. Some laws are literally just ignorant. It’s legal to take a deer with 35 cal or larger but not a turkey ? That’s laughable. Again if it were me I would just do it but that’s me.

The wingshot can be tuned to 1350fps load 2 shells for 300g of shot and with updated choke can keep a a decent 15 inch pattern at 35yds. Or utilizr the Bully slugs for it. more than enough to take a gobbler. THe PBBA is nice as well resuable shells nice feature good power slightly heavier.

Late to the party, but I was just looking at getting a PBBA today and learned a few things. It ABSOLUTELY has the power, the gun is producing 500ft lbs. Also, the guy who makes these, his name is Terry Tate, he has another line of these guns built on the same platform called SWA, and he also collaborated with Umarex to design the new Primal 20, which isn't out yet, and is also built on the PBBA platform. IMHO, the original is still the most attractive, as his shot shell system seems great. The Primal shoots rifled slugs and has a rifled choke. Well the PBBA can shoot those same slugs exceptionally well and has the True Choke system so you can put a rifled choke on it. Shot loads are 3x what the wingshot shoots, and still 1.5x a wingshot double load.
