PCP Rifles with open sights

I wish EVERY airgun came with option to mount from factory.

I just bought a R5M .25 Supermagnum. Of course I need a scope for its abilities to show but sometimes open/irons are just plain fun & faster.

When I shoot 20 grain H&N FTT’s from it or Sumatra on (bottom out being 0 & max setting 13) power wheel 1 or 2 I’m getting a ton of 40 ftlb shots. I’d LOVE better buck horn sights on Sumatra or a flip up tang routered flush. The EDgun has a 20 moa rail. Seller had 2 light chalk marks on which to place rings. I went by those & my optically mirror centered scope was near dead on with a 50 yard zero. 2.25” high though if Im right.

I’d still LOVE to put great target grade flip up fully adjustable interchangeable front posts & rear aperture. Does Gehman make a rear that opens & closes like a camera shutter? That would be cool even at $600. Anyway I’d put front way up & rear all the way back for longest sight radius & just see what sight height settings, weights, speeds would get me. I’d hope for a laser within 50 yards zero.

Yeah, iron sights SHOULD be an option. I’ve passed up really nice spring guns because I prefer HW sights over R series. RWS usually has them but their sights are horrible. Thick, no micro click. Geez

Not knowing which rifles you already have in your sights, Benjamin Discovery and Benjamin Maximus both come with open sights. Note that the standard Maximus has the open sights; the Maximus Hunter version (in .22) has no open sights but comes with a 6x40 Centerpoint scope as part of the package. The Hatsan Flash and the new Vectis both come with open sights as well.

Here's an aftermarket option.

Talking open sights.

I have one of these on one of my crossbows. I like it a lot. Very easy to acquire the tip of the triangle. It works like mix of an open sight, a dot site and one version has a "T" reticle like a scope - https://seeallopensight.com/

Gonna buy one for for my next PCP rifle. One version works in the dark..! Not expensive.

Umm wow I have seen something similar to this but it was not designed to use with a rifle... This looks very promising... I really wish I could look at one in person first but I'm thinking I may pull the trigger on this because it would allow to be used on any rifle...

thanks for sharing.
